     Picton, a quaint waterfront village
snuggled between the hills and the sea, brings visitors back again and again.
Look up Queen Charlotte Sound and imagine what Captain Cook saw in the 1770's
when he returned to Ship's cove to careen his boats. Picton is world famous for
its Sauvignon Blanc, and you may want to sample some if you visit the
Johanneshof Cellars and tour the winery's underground cellar, hewn 135 feet deep
through solid rock. Picton is a little town with much to offer. |
