This bright city on
the Costa del Sol was founded by the ancient Greeks in 325 BC, who called it
Akra-Leuka ("White Summit") for its impressive headlands. The Moors ruled here
for over five centuries, and reminders of their passing can be discovered in the
winding alleyways of the Old Quarter. The views from the 1,000-foot Balcón del
Mediterráneo are superb. |
